Chapter 369

The three girls exhaled in relief. "Benjamin's sister was pranking us the whole time! It was all staged!"

Benjamin moved to shield Evelyn, concerned Zachary might lash out. "Tch! You said I'd wet myself from fear, yet you're the one screaming for mommy!"

Zachary clenched his jaw and stood. "How dare you team up to trick me!"

Benjamin smirked confidently. "Weren't you the one who tried rigging the game first? You paid double to bribe the actors against us while your group got an easy ride! Don't whine when your schemes backfire!"

"That doesn't count! None of them followed through!" Zachary pointed accusingly at Evelyn and the actors, his ears turning red.

Benjamin's face twisted in disgust. "I never realized you were this shameless."

"You—" Zachary gritted his teeth, speechless.

Earlier, Evelyn had overheard Zachary bribing staff during her bathroom break. Disgusted, she'd tripled his offer to join as an actress instead.

Money-hungry people were fickle—they'd betray anyone for higher pay.

While Benjamin searched for clues, he'd received a text from Evelyn using Nathaniel's number: [Play dead.]

At first confused, he understood when the nurse's "attacks" caused no pain. He immediately played along.

Exiting the escape room, Zachary blocked Benjamin's path. "Not bad in there! Got the guts for a rematch?"

Benjamin scoffed. "Why would I entertain a cheater? Move!"

Undeterred, Zachary pointed nearby. "There's a pool. Crystal clear water, no way to cheat. Or are you scared?"

"Not interested."

"Can't swim, can you?"

Fresh from humiliating Zachary earlier, Benjamin wasn't rising to the bait. "My swimming skills are none of your damn business!" He grabbed Evelyn's wrist and walked off.

"Hey! Benjamin Rivers!" Zachary chased after them.

Evelyn's gaze flickered between the pursuer and Benjamin. "Why's he so obsessed with challenging you? Could he be... into you?"

Benjamin nearly tripped. "Hell no! He likes Emily, but she prefers my company. Hence the petty tantrums."

Evelyn glanced back. Zachary was calling after Benjamin while stealing glances at Emily, who only had eyes for Benjamin.

'Ah, the classic love triangle.' Zachary's bruised ego demanded redemption in front of his crush.

"Stop right there, Luna Whitmore!" Zachary shouted when Benjamin ignored him.

Nearby on the mall's escalator, the manager fawned over Samuel Rivers, president of Rivera Group. "Your event will be flawless, Mr. Samuel!"

Samuel gave a curt nod. "See that it is."

"Luna Rivers! I said STOP!" The name made Samuel's icy gaze snap toward the commotion.

His secretary Oliver gasped. "Sir, it's Benjamin with his classmates."

Samuel's expression darkened as he strode over.

Spotting him, Benjamin froze. "Samuel? What are you—"

Samuel cut him off, scanning the group with glacial intensity. "Which one of you is Luna Rivers?"
