Chapter 153

Sebastian was strikingly handsome, while Evelyn possessed an ethereal beauty. Together, they formed a mesmerizing pair.

A shadow of resentment flickered in Cassandra's eyes as she watched Evelyn walk beside Sebastian, the vice president of Newmoon Group. Forced to maintain civility in front of important figures, she still managed to lace her words with subtle venom. "Where did you disappear to, Evelyn?"

Evelyn approached with practiced innocence. "I was searching for the restroom but got lost. Mister Sebastian kindly offered to show me the way."

Cassandra's jaw tightened as she glared at Evelyn before forcing a polite smile toward Sebastian. "My apologies for my assistant's incompetence troubling you."

Sebastian's lips curved into an easy smile. "No trouble at all. I was heading that direction myself."

The forced smile on Cassandra's face couldn't mask her irritation at Evelyn's chance encounter with such an influential man.

Evelyn tilted her head curiously. "Have you finished reviewing the new product already, Cassandra?"

Cassandra ignored the question, inwardly seething at her assistant's audacity. Turning to Seraphina with a practiced smile, she asked, "Miss Montgomery, when can we proceed with signing the contract?"

Seraphina had regained her professional composure. "Your agency will need to handle the formalities. Individual celebrities can't sign endorsement contracts directly."

"Of course!" Cassandra beamed. "My manager will come this afternoon to discuss details."

Seraphina gave a curt nod. "Ask for Mister Daniel when you arrive."

"Thank you!" Cassandra couldn't hide her triumph. "About my upcoming film project..."

Seraphina's mouth twitched. "We'll consider investment based on your performance as brand ambassador."

"You won't be disappointed!" Cassandra vowed with theatrical confidence. "I'll take my leave now and return with my manager this afternoon."

Receiving only a dismissive hum from Seraphina, Cassandra turned to Evelyn with undisguised contempt. "Let's go!"

Evelyn hesitated. "Wait, I left my phone inside."

"Then hurry up!" Cassandra's sweet tone barely concealed her impatience. Had they been alone, she would have unleashed a torrent of abuse.

Evelyn walked past Nathaniel without sparing him a glance. She pushed open the president's office door and strode inside confidently.

Retrieving her phone from the lounge sofa, she noticed 'Stardust' sitting nearby wearing a gas mask, typing furiously on a laptop as if documenting something important.

Outside the door, Nathaniel's imposing frame stood motionless. His cold gaze swept across the office, lingering on the simultaneous presence of 'Stardust' and Evelyn. The tension in his brow gradually eased.

Seraphina turned to Nathaniel with a knowing smile. "It seems Stardust is still working. Feel free to speak with her if you wish, Mister Grayson."

Nathaniel's response was ice. "That won't be necessary." Without another word, he turned sharply and left with Lucas.

Seeing Nathaniel depart, Cassandra hastily bid farewell to Seraphina and Sebastian before dragging Evelyn toward the elevators, desperate to share a ride with the powerful businessman.

As the elevator doors closed behind them, Seraphina's composed expression fractured into concern. "What happened? How did Evelyn get away?"
