Chapter 119

Zachary straightened his tie with a scoff. "As if! We won fair and square. Why should we play again? I've got better things to do."

Evelyn remained unfazed. With deliberate calmness, she pulled out her phone and tapped the screen. The video from moments ago began playing - clear footage of Zachary's group ganging up on Benjamin.

"Either agree to a rematch, or this goes straight to the police." Her voice carried quiet steel. "Let's see if your parents would rather have Silver Moon Estate... or keep their precious sons' records clean."

Zachary's jaw clenched. "You—"

He had no choice. Their first attempt had been humiliating enough - they couldn't even touch her. "Fine! One more game! Not that it'll change anything!"

Evelyn nodded. "Since there's no gaming setup here, we'll use mobiles. How about 'Guardian of the King'?"

A smirk spread across Zachary's face at her choice. "Deal. But I'm raising the stakes."

"Go on."

"If you win, I'll hand over the contract for you to destroy. But if we win?" His eyes gleamed. "You delete that video immediately, transfer Silver Moon Estate's deed to me, and Benjamin here does a live stream... barking like a dog."

"Done." Evelyn agreed without hesitation.

Benjamin's head snapped toward her. "Evelyn! Who said you could decide for me? Haven't I been humiliated enough?"

She gave him a withering look. "Couldn't possibly get worse than this."

His face burned crimson. "Silver Moon Estate is my family's legacy," he hissed. "We don't just give it away!"

"Then maybe don't gamble with it," she shot back.

Benjamin's mouth opened and closed like a fish. He was starting to wonder whose side Evelyn was really on.

With terms set, they returned to the banquet hall, finding a secluded corner with plush couches. Zachary had his full team of five. Evelyn and Benjamin would be paired with random players - likely amateurs.

Benjamin leaned close, panic creeping into his whisper. "How good are you at this game? What's your rank?"

"Not great," Evelyn admitted casually. "Beginner level."

His face drained of color. "Then why the hell did you challenge them? Are you trying to ruin me completely?"

She shrugged. "Relax. We might get paired with pros."

Benjamin nearly choked. The odds of that were worse than winning the lottery. While confident in his own skills, carrying a newbie like Evelyn? Impossible. And if their random teammates were noobs too?

His stomach churned at the thought. Not only would he lose the estate permanently, but he'd have to publicly humiliate himself. What would his father say? His brother?

'Damn it, Evelyn! What kind of suicidal plan is this?' he screamed internally.
