Chapter 94
Chloe Valentine’s face was pale as she clutched Adrian Sinclair’s sleeve.
Her voice trembled. “Adrian, I feel carsick.”
......
Adrian’s gaze fell on her face.
He spoke calmly. “Do you need to pull over and rest?”
“I think I’m going to be sick.”
She looked extremely unwell.
Adrian signaled the driver to pull over.
Chloe rushed out of the car and crouched by the roadside, dry heaving.
Anna Ross was also feeling nauseous.
Adrian’s voice came from behind her. “Go check on her.”
Anna: “......”
She wasn’t his Executive Assistant.
She felt more like a personal servant for the two of them.
She suppressed the bitterness in her heart.
She grabbed tissues and a bottle of water before getting out of the car.
She crouched down and gently patted Chloe’s back.
Anna told herself inwardly.
Just endure a little longer.
Everything will be better once we reach New York.
......
Marcus Hill felt incredibly bored.
He suddenly thought of Sophia Roscente.
He immediately dialed her number. “Keep me company for a while.”
Sophia responded cheerfully. “Since you’re bored, why not take me out somewhere fun?”
“Alright. Meet me in the lobby.”
He agreed without hesitation.
After a quick tidy-up, he went downstairs to find her.
Just as he was looking around.
A clear voice called out. “Marcus, over here!”
Marcus quickly walked over. “Where do you want to go?”
Sophia’s eyes lit up. “The amusement park!”
Marcus nodded.
It had been a long time since he visited an amusement park too.
They rode roller coasters and pendulum rides.
The thrilling rides made them scream with excitement.
After a whole day of fun.
They walked leisurely along the path.
Sophia hugged a bag of snacks.
She said with a smile. “I had so much fun today. Thank you!”
“I had fun too.” Marcus scratched his head.
Thanks to her.
He had a very enjoyable day.
Sophia blinked. “You’re much more fun than that ice block Adrian.”
“We should keep in touch often after returning to New York.”
Marcus was slightly surprised.
But he nodded in agreement.
He asked. “When are you returning to New York?”
“Not sure.”
Sophia stuck out her tongue. “I sneaked back to the country.”
“I’m definitely in big trouble when I go back.”
“Hahaha...”
Marcus couldn’t help but laugh.
He quickly regained his composure.
He suggested seriously. “Why not be honest with your family?”
“Maybe they will understand you.”
Sophia quickly shook her head.
Thinking of her mother’s stern expression.
She whispered. “Being honest would be the end of me!”
“I didn’t know there was something you were afraid of.” Marcus chuckled lightly.
He thought for a moment. “But I guess we’re in the same boat?”
