Chapter 391

Audrey's resentment toward Vivian surged. If not for this woman, she wouldn't have offended someone as important as Dominic.

As she desperately searched for a solution, her gaze landed on a familiar silhouette outside the boutique. Audrey. The striking designer outfit made her instantly recognizable. Rumors had been circulating about Audrey's close relationship with Dominic.

The pieces clicked into place. The girlfriend was here—this was the perfect opportunity to turn the tables.

She discreetly signaled to another sales associate nearby, one who had gossiped about Audrey and Dominic before. The woman nodded understandingly and hurried outside to intercept Audrey.

"Miss Winslow?" The associate greeted with practiced warmth. "Are you looking for someone?"

Audrey paused, giving her a questioning look. "Do you know him?"

The associate flashed a saccharine smile. "Naturally. I work at Sterling & Co. I've seen you and Mr. Sinclair together before." She lowered her voice conspiratorially. "He's inside right now. I noticed you seemed... concerned."

Audrey's instincts screamed warning, but the associate's words were dripping with honeyed politeness. Surely an employee of such a prestigious brand wouldn't lie about this?

"Thank you," Audrey replied coolly. "I'll go find him myself."

The associate hesitated dramatically. "Miss Winslow..."

Audrey's eyebrow arched. "Yes?"

Leaning in, the associate whispered, "There's... a woman inside who's been rather... attached to Mr. Sinclair. We couldn't exactly intervene..."

Audrey's expression darkened. She'd read those tabloid stories about shop girls seducing wealthy clients. Was this happening right under her nose?

Her thoughts spiraled. Dominic had excused himself to the restroom earlier—was this why he'd disappeared? They'd barely started dating and he was already straying?

White-hot anger obliterated all reason as she stormed toward the Sterling & Co counter. The moment Audrey entered, she spotted Dominic with his back turned, standing dangerously close to a woman in a sales associate uniform.

Not just one woman, but two? Her vision blurred with rage. Without thinking, she marched forward and delivered a stinging slap across the associate's face.

The sharp crack of the slap silenced the entire boutique. Every head turned in shock. Audrey stood trembling with fury, hands planted on her hips as she unleashed her wrath.

"You shameless hussy! Trying to steal my man? And you!" She whirled on Dominic. "You worthless playboy! You have me and you're still sniffing around this... this shop girl? Have you lost your damn mind?"

Dominic turned slowly, genuine confusion knitting his brows together. "Audrey? What the hell are you doing here?"
