Chapter 327

Vivian exhaled sharply, her fingers tightening around her phone. "It's just business," she said through gritted teeth.

Adrian's lips curled into a sardonic smile. "Is Ivory Phoenix Productions understaffed? Or do you enjoy conducting personal negotiations with Mr. Vaughn?"

With an irritated huff, Vivian moved to the far corner of the room before answering the call.

She perched on the edge of an armchair, phone pressed to her ear.

Damien's smooth voice carried through the line. "Have you had dinner? I'd love to take you out."

"Already ate," Vivian replied, her gaze drifting to Adrian. He sat at the dining table, cutting his steak with precise movements. Even in his haste, every motion carried an effortless grace that made the simple act of eating look like a performance.

The phrase "easy on the eyes" suddenly made perfect sense.

Damien's voice snapped her back to reality. "There's a reality show filming this weekend. They need a guest for one episode. What do you think?"

Vivian's brows knitted together. "Is this promotion for the new drama? Shouldn't Sebastian be the one doing this?"

Since she wasn't officially signed with Ivory Phoenix, appearing on unrelated shows seemed unnecessary.

"No," Damien clarified. "This is purely for exposure. Your screen presence could win you fans. Right now, you're vulnerable to online attacks without a solid fanbase. This could help shape your public image."

Vivian had considered this before. While acting remained her passion, avoiding the spotlight entirely might hinder her career growth.

Yet after weathering multiple scandals, staying low-key felt safer.

"I think I should maintain my current approach," she said firmly.

"Sounds like a perfect opportunity," a deep voice interjected unexpectedly.

Vivian startled, looking up to find Adrian looming over her.

His proximity allowed Damien to hear him clearly. "Is that Adrian Blackwood with you?"

"Yes," Vivian admitted through clenched teeth.

Adrian's expression remained impassive as he spoke. "You can't avoid the public forever."

Covering the receiver, Vivian shot him a withering glare.

Adrian merely arched an eyebrow. "What? Am I lying?"

"I have to go. My decision stands," Vivian said abruptly before ending the call.

She turned to Adrian, eyes blazing. "Did you really need to humiliate me in front of my employer?"

Adrian's expression darkened. "You think that's why I spoke up?"
