Chapter 297

Vivian arched an eyebrow, unimpressed. "How remarkably coincidental."

Ethan knew better than to argue. Handing Vivian's luggage to Gwendolyn, he added, "If you require anything, Mrs. Blackwood, Gwendolyn will assist. I must return to the office." With that, he made a swift exit, leaving Vivian and Gwendolyn standing in the grand foyer.

Gwendolyn clutched the suitcase, but instead of moving toward the staircase, she hesitated, her curiosity palpable. She turned to Vivian, her voice carefully measured. "Mrs. Blackwood... did you and Mr. Blackwood have a disagreement?"

Vivian's sharp gaze caught the unusual gleam in Gwendolyn's eyes. It wasn't concern—it was something closer to anticipation. Her instincts screamed caution.

"Do you wish we had?" Vivian countered, her tone razor-sharp. Her gut told her to keep the divorce proceedings far from Gwendolyn's prying ears.

Gwendolyn faltered, her practiced smile slipping momentarily before she plastered it back on. "Heavens no! I pray you and Mr. Blackwood remain blissfully in love forever."

Vivian's lips curled into a knowing smirk. "Precisely."

"We'll be blissfully in love forever." Leaning in conspiratorially, she tugged her collar aside to reveal a faint mark on her neck. "Who knows? Perhaps we'll even welcome a little heir this year."

Gwendolyn's grip turned bone-white as her eyes locked onto the mark. Her mind reeled. It appeared Adrian and Vivian's relationship was actually thriving.

Just then, Vivian's phone buzzed, shattering the tension. She glanced at the group chat message from Damien: "Don't leave after filming. I'm coming with exciting news."

During lunch break, the crew mingled over boxed meals. Sebastian lounged with his chair tilted back, casually sliding a chicken wing into Vivian's container. Vivian took a bite and remarked, "Mr. Vaughn should consider heartier options. These meals barely qualify as sustenance."

Right on cue, Damien appeared bearing two bags of premium coffee. "My apologies. I'll ensure tomorrow's catering includes more substantial portions."

As he distributed the drinks, he announced, "Today we'll be selecting cast members for this week's Spotlight Night." The popular variety show was a coveted platform, regularly featuring A-list hosts and rising stars to promote their latest projects.

The room fell silent, anticipation thickening the air. Damien's unexpected visit clearly signaled more than routine casting decisions.

After a deliberate sip of coffee, he revealed, "I intend to use this opportunity to unveil Vivian as the true Katrina."

Sebastian's expression turned thoughtful. "Isn't that premature? We agreed to wait until post-production."

Damien set down his cup. "By airtime, filming will be nearly complete." His tone brooked no argument. "This timing will maximize publicity."

Considering this, Sebastian planted his feet firmly on the ground, ticking off points on his fingers. "We are indeed approaching wrap."
