Chapter 234
Vivian's eyes lit up with surprise as she spotted him approaching. She stood gracefully, smoothing her skirt. "Julian, what a pleasant surprise!"
"I figured you could use some refreshments," Julian replied with an easy smile, motioning to his team who followed with multiple designer shopping bags.
Turning to the production crew with practiced charm, his voice carried warmth. "I appreciate everyone taking such good care of Vivian here."
"Thank you, Mr. Montclair! We're actually celebrating Vivian's birthday today!" Isabella chimed in, her excitement contagious as others began arranging an impromptu dining space.
Julian's assistants laid out an exquisite spread - herb-roasted turkey, artisan sandwiches, and an assortment of beverages including matcha lattes and cold brews.
The hungry crew gathered eagerly, each selecting their gourmet boxed meals as they found seats.
Julian settled across from Vivian, reaching for a salad bowl when his gaze caught on a nearby phone.
The unlocked screen displayed an active Instagram feed.
"Does this belong to anyone?" he inquired, pointing to the device.
A flurry of pocket-checking ensued among the group.
Isabella gasped, patting her empty pockets. "Oh! That's mine - must have set it down while setting up." She hurried over, cheeks pink with embarrassment.
Julian gave a gracious nod. "No trouble at all," he said smoothly, handing it back.
Nearby, a cluster of young actors watched the exchange with barely concealed curiosity.
One bold actress called out with a grin, "So Vivian, is this your mystery man?"
Only Isabella knew the truth about Adrian and Vivian's complicated history, leaving the others free to speculate wildly.
Vivian laughed airily, waving a dismissive hand. "Oh goodness no! We went to university together. Back then, every girl on campus had a crush on him."
Her voice trailed off as she realized how many years had passed since they'd last spoken. She had no idea about Julian's current romantic status.
With playful curiosity, she nudged his arm. "Speaking of which, Julian Montclair - are you off the market yet?"
Julian carefully placed a slice of turkey in his box before answering with an amused smile. "Still very much single."
Vivian turned to her colleagues with exaggerated enthusiasm. "Ladies, take note! The most eligible bachelor in Crestwood is right here - and he still remembers his manners!"
A supporting actress leaned forward, eyes sparkling with recognition. "That suit - is it the new Armani Privé collection? I swear I saw it on their Instagram last week."
Julian glanced down at his attire with modest disinterest. "Could be. I just liked the clean lines." His effortless humility only enhanced his sophisticated aura.
