Chapter 468

The crisp night air was shattered by a sudden yelp as Sebastian Winslow hit the ground with a thud. His limbs splayed out like a starfish, fingers twitching involuntarily.

Harrison Kensington blinked in disbelief. "How the hell did you get here? Did you—" His gaze flicked to the garden wall, and realization dawned.

Crestview Heights wasn’t just any gated community. Beyond the standard security, Alexander Kensington had installed his own defenses. The ivy-covered walls? Electrified. Not enough to kill, but more than enough to leave an intruder paralyzed for a good ten minutes.

And Sebastian, the idiot, had tried to climb it.

Alexander’s voice crackled through Harrison’s earpiece, dry as dust. "Bring him inside."

Harrison sighed. "Yes, sir."

Sebastian groaned, his limbs still uncooperative. Harrison hauled him up like a sack of potatoes, ignoring the pathetic whimper that escaped him.

The warmth of the foyer was a stark contrast to the biting cold outside. Harrison moved toward the plush sofa, but Alexander’s voice cut in again.

"Not there. He’ll ruin the leather."

Without hesitation, Harrison dropped Sebastian onto the marble floor.

Sebastian wheezed, glaring up at Alexander with all the venom he could muster. His fingers twitched, the lingering numbness making speech difficult. "Y-You—heartless b*stard!"

Alexander arched a brow. "Harrison, toss him back outside."

Sebastian’s eyes widened. "N-No! I take it back! J-Just—ignore me!" His words slurred, the aftereffects of the shock still rattling his system.

Alexander waved Harrison off, then crouched down, studying Sebastian with detached amusement. "It’s past midnight. Shouldn’t you be drunk in a bar somewhere? Or did you really think scaling my wall was a good idea?"

Sebastian scowled. "Julian Whitmore let me in through the gate! Had to call in a favor because of you!"

Alexander smirked. "And yet, here you are—on my floor, looking like a electrocuted raccoon."

Sebastian groaned. This was not how tonight was supposed to go.
